WIP wednesday, well sort of.

happy wednesday everybody!

my blog is still alive and it hasn't died just yet. i even changed my header.

so cute.

i think i will try to give it another go. please don't hold your breath on how many posts i'll be able to make in a week. i am shooting for three. we shall see.

soooooo...

i just finished my latest WIP and shared this on instagram yesterday. {i'm not private anymore, so go take a peek and follow along. i'm @casadecupcake}

it's too fun not to share here too.

it all started with a picture off of pinterest by the lovely Sarah London...

eeeeeeeep. i get so happy everytime i watch that.

here are a few tidbits about this afgan:

it has 48 6-round solid granny squares and a nine color border.

i used all hobby lobby "I love this yarn" it's the bestest, softest yarn. evah.

i finished off the afghan with this lovely border tutorial. it was a life saver or in this case a border saver. heehee.

it felt like it weighed 500 pounds and my border became a wee bit stretched, but it was so snuggly and warm. and cheery-happy.

i gave it to my mom for mother's day. she cried. i cried and my heart swelled up--to see the look of love in her eyes when i told her it was hers...a special, special moment.

man, i love to crochet beautiful things.

i find such joy and purpose making things and giving them to others.

i'm humbled that God graciously gave me the ability to be able to do this.

i hope that i can do it as long as i live. ☺

what's on your hook?
